The Great Greek’s fast-casual franchise training covers just about everything you’ll need to know about running one of our restaurants. While some restaurant experience is beneficial, we understand that all of our franchisees come from different backgrounds. Our training program is designed as such to ensure everyone is on the same page, regardless of their experience in the industry.
Independent owners only have themselves to rely on, so they need to build their processes from scratch. Training in these well-established systems is one of the most valuable parts of our franchise opportunity.
Online Fast-Casual Franchise Training
Our franchise training takes place both in-person and online. We’ve curated a comprehensive online system that walks franchisees through many of the basics. We introduce franchisees to fundamental concepts that include ordering, managing bookkeeping, and learning the basics of our menu via the online system. They can also find valuable resources there, like employee and training handbooks, for easy reference. Franchisees work with our expert trainers to move through the program at a steady pace. Not only does our online system make training convenient, but it also helps to minimize risk during the pandemic.
In-Person Training
Another integral part of our fast-casual franchise training is the in-person support you can look forward to. We’ll work with you right on-site in your location to help you and your staff implement everything you’ve learned. We know what a successful Great Greek grand opening should look like, and we’re serious about helping you achieve one.
By the time we leave, your team should be running like a well-oiled machine and should be experts in keeping the system running smoothly.
Ongoing Training
We’ve developed a highly-effective franchise system that we’ve designed to save our franchisees time and money. To ensure that their locations stay running smoothly, we periodically provide them with ongoing training, a refresher to determine whether they’re correctly following our processes. Alternatively, we might introduce new systems, or changes to our existing ones, to better meet the needs of our customers or to improve efficiency. Franchisees can count on us to provide them with comprehensive training in these instances.
Support Throughout the Life of Your Business
Our training program is just one of the ways we work to support our franchisees. We also provide them with invaluable support resources to simplify their job and save them time and money in the long run. A few examples of these support resources include:
- Ready-made marketing materials
- Location scouting assistance
- Relationships with reliable vendors
- A popular menu
- A highly-regarded brand name and reputation management
We want your experience of opening and operating a new restaurant to be as simple (and profitable) as possible. Our fast-casual franchise training is just one of the many ways we work to make that happen.

Starting a Greek restaurant business with The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill is a great opportunity. Fast-casual restaurants are growing in popularity, and The Great Greek has mastered the concept. While The Great Greek has built up a strong reputation both as a franchisor and as a great place to eat, not everyone realizes that we’re part of United Franchise Group (UFG). UFG is a franchising powerhouse that’s been around since 1986. Having them behind us allows us to offer top-notch resources and gives us great insights into the changing market. Learn more about UFG and how their partnership is a valuable asset.
What is UFG?
UFG was born when Roy and Ray Titus founded the first Signarama store in 1986. The small sign-making business quickly became a success, and the two realized that franchising could allow them to grow most effectively. Before long, the two began to invest in other franchise brands and to expand throughout the U.S. and the world.
Today, UFG operates more than 1,600 franchises in 80+ countries. They even offer franchise development services to other franchisors through Accurate Franchising, Inc. You’d be hard-pressed to find a group of people that know the industry better! UFG is still a family business, and they treat every franchisee like an extension of that family.
UFG and The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill
When UFG realized the great potential for starting Greek restaurant businesses, they welcomed The Great Greek to their franchise family. The Great Greek is also a family business, founded by restauranteurs whose experience goes back generations.
UFG recognized that The Great Greek checks all the boxes when it comes to a restaurant franchise. We are:
- Fast-casual, allowing for maximum convenience
- A restaurant that prioritizes quality and freshness
- A flexible format that can open new restaurants in a variety of locations
How UFG Strengthens Our Brand
UFG brings a lot to the table for The Great Greek. For one thing, they’ve helped us to streamline our processes. Now, it’s easier than ever for franchisees to get new locations up and running. For instance, they’ve helped us to develop a training program that effectively covers virtually everything you’ll need to know about how to run one of our restaurants. Furthermore, they’ve revamped our marketing systems, so we’re better able to spread the word about The Great Greek to new customers. This is a terrific benefit for our franchisees!
They’ve also helped us unlock great opportunities, such as multi-unit ownership, for our franchisees. Now, it’s easier than ever to open additional locations, and our franchisees enjoy exclusive discounts on our franchise fee when they do so. The only thing better than starting a Greek restaurant business is launching two or more! UFG wants all franchisees to be able to achieve sustainable growth, and multi-unit opportunities are just one way to work to achieve that goal.
Franchising with The Great Greek gives you access to our team of experts, along with UFG’s decades of franchise experience. Contact us today to learn more about starting a Greek restaurant business of your own.

Starting a Mediterranean restaurant franchise with The Great Greek is a great way to break into the thriving fast-casual industry. As a franchisor, one of the costs you’ll encounter in our model is the franchise fee. At first glance, some investors wonder why they should choose a franchise at all when they could start a restaurant on their own and avoid the franchise fee altogether. The truth is, the franchise fee is a small price to pay for the expertise, guidance, and resources you’ll enjoy in return. In the end, we design it as such to save you money and time. Learn more about The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill’s franchise fee, along with other relevant parts of the investment.
How Much Does It Cost to Open a Restaurant with The Great Greek?
We estimate that opening a new franchise will cost between $400K-$600K. Ultimately, the amount you’ll spend will depend on factors such as real estate costs specific to the area you choose, the size of your location, and other variables. When you contact us, we can take some of these into account to give you a more concrete estimate.
One of the best things about partnering with a franchise as opposed to going it alone is that we’ve developed a comprehensive investment breakdown that includes just about everything it takes to get started. It considerably reduces the odds that you’ll run into unexpected costs!
Your total investment will include the costs listed below.
Our Mediterranean Restaurant Franchise Fee
Our one-time initial franchise fee is set at $39,500. As we explained above, the franchise fee grants you access to many services that independent owners simply don’t enjoy. A few examples of what you can expect in exchange for your franchise fee include:
- The right to operate under our well-established brand name
- Training in our highly-effective processes and systems
- Access to our network of franchisees and experts
- Use of our proven business model
We designed the franchise fee to save you money in the long run, and help you get started on the right track.
Liquid Capital
We’ve built $180K of liquid capital into our Mediterranean restaurant franchise costs. It’s essential to have a good deal of available assets on-hand during your restaurant’s early days so you can cover expenses as they come up before you’ve had a chance to generate much revenue. We welcome our franchisees to seek outside financing, such as an SBA loan, to help with this part of the investment.
Real Estate, Equipment, and More
When you request a copy of our Franchise Disclosure Document, you’ll see that the initial investment accounts for just about everything you’ll need to get started, right down to the signage!

Interested in franchising with The Great Greek, but wary of high Mediterranean restaurant franchise costs? Don’t be! One of the best rationales to partner with us is that we’ve gotten the process of launching new restaurants down to a science, including streamlining our costs! Learn more about how we’ve managed to keep our costs low, along with other beneficial reasons for choosing The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill.
Streamlined Mediterranean Restaurant Franchise Costs
We estimate that the cost to open a new restaurant will start at around $400K. As with any new business, there’s no way that anyone can predict what the actual final costs will be. However, we’ve developed a comprehensive investment breakdown that significantly reduces the likelihood of unexpected expenditures. Furthermore, we work with vendors that we’ve established strong relationships. Not only does this help ensure that our franchisees get great prices on the things they’ll need, but it also cuts out a lot of guesswork.
When you contact us, we’ll take specific information into account such as, where you plan to open, and how large your franchise concept will be. With that in mind, we’ll be able to give you a better idea of how much your Mediterranean restaurant franchise costs will amount to.
Simple Steps to Opening
Opening a new business takes a lot of work. When independent owners start the process, they’re usually on their own. That means they can’t let anything slip through the cracks, or they risk setting back their timeline and their budget.
Setting up shop with The Great Greek also helps to mitigate these risks. We’ve created a simple process to opening, which accounts for just about everything you’ll need to do to set yourself up for success. A few of the stages we’ll walk you through include:
- Finding the perfect location
- Outfitting it with the necessary equipment and furnishings
- Making any necessary renovations
- Marketing your business to attract customers
When you partner with our team, you can look forward to expert support every step of the way.
A Time-Tested Menu
Another great reason to franchise with The Great Greek is that we’ve already developed a menu that’s proven itself to be popular. New restaurants face a good deal of competition, so they don’t have much leeway to figure out their menu through trial and error. When customers don’t like what they’ve tried on their first visit, they’re not likely to make a second.
The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill has mastered our unique brand of Greek-inspired cuisine. We serve classic favorites like souvlaki with our signature twist – distinct to our locations! Best of all, our team is always researching restaurant industry trends, so you can count on us to keep your menu updated with items that are most likely to succeed.
As you can see, low Mediterranean restaurant franchise costs are just the beginning of what we have to offer. Contact us today to learn more about what it takes to get started!
